Abstract:
Did you know that there are good entry level (and up) positions in law libraries across the North America? Have you been misinformed that only librarians with a law degree are eligible for positions in law libraries? Are you aware that there are a variety of different types of law libraries and law library jobs available? If you are interested in this area of librarianship, please attend this webcast to learn more about how to kick-start your career as a new law librarian.
This webinar will be led by a career law librarian Jean L. Willis, who has an MLS but no JD. Law librarianship has been a successful and rewarding lifelong career for Willis that provided numerous job opportunities for professional growth and development.
Biography:
Jean L. Willis is the assistant director for support services for the Sacramento County Public Law Library in California. In her role, she collaborates with the director on managing the Public Law Library with a staff of 20 and annual budget of over $2 million.
