The clever and delicate solo arrangements of Evelyn Morris, Melbourne based musician, drummer for Baseball and True Radical Miracle, come to life on stage through cascading live sample loops. Adding a different dimension to the solo performance, Pikelet songs might begin with basic claps or drum rhythms before expanding into guitar and vocal arrangements, all of which are played and recorded live – adding an amazing level of engagement with the audience, as they witness one person make such endearing pop songs spring to life before their eyes. This Pikelet performance was recorded at her 14th of February show at Mojo’s Bar in Fremantle. Evelyn describes to Dingbat information about her upcoming releases and recording, how she crafted her live playing style and her love for touring.
