In today's episode of Nation Wants To Know with Padmaja Joshi we will be discussing about Supreme Court Gyanvapi order.
The Supreme Court on Friday transferred the Gyanvapi Mosque case pending before civil judge, senior division, to the court of the Varanasi district judge for trial. Claiming the reason that a “slightly more mature” and “seasoned hand” should handle the Gyanvapi mosque case. The Supreme Court stated that its interim order of May 17 for the protection of the Shivling area and free access to Muslims to offer Namaaz will continue. The Supreme Court bench observed that the ascertainment of the religious character of a place of worship is not barred under Section 3 of the Places of Worship Act, 1991. This is an important observation since the Muslim side has been contending that the Act also applies to the Gyanvapi mosque.
"Supreme Court clearly said this survey wouldn't come under the ambit of Places of Worship Act.", said
Dr. Shalabh Mani Tripathi.
"SC hasn't given final judgment on the religious character.", said Shoaib Jamai
Meanwhile, Anurag Naidu Said, "We don't want to take masjid, we want to educate the next generation about what actually happened."
