“Bad Side,” like “Phases,” is written from a place of acceptance. This time, I acknowledge that I’ve seen the darkest parts of myself and know better than to hold on to a situation that could pull me back into that space. While the decision is final, it’s not easy and comes with its own pain. Letting go is a process, and writing this song allowed me to express feelings I didn’t have the courage to say out loud. “Bad Side” delves into the layers of my darker side, setting the tone for Love/Hate Pt. 2.
