Kitemare For My Birthday

If you kitesurf long enough it is likely that kitemares will happen. What is a kitemare? Its like a nightmare but in kiteboarding setting. Crazy crashes, line tangles, dangerous situation or drifting away to oblivion with no other kiteboarders around are all good examples. Sometimes your line will snap or get caught on a spreader bar and you will find yourself trapped in a death loop. There are some great videos out there how to free yourself from such situation by Advakite. (Make sure to check them out). Anyway in this video we will talk about tangling lines and what to do when kites get tangled and cross into each other. How to avoid line snapping and how to prevent injury or dangerous life threatening situations. You might be wondering how this relates to my birthday. Well it was my birthday kiting day and lot of things happened. Maybe it wasn't a serious kitemare but there were some learnings there worth pointing out.
