Jackson, president of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., arrives in Fort Worth to take part in their annual convention which will be held at the Tarrant County Convention Center. Various shots of a train arriving at a station and of Jackson stepping off it while being greeted by supporters. In an interview, Jackson says that he has worked closely with President Richard Nixon on a peace plan. Jim Green reporting.

3:28, 5:11 - The La Raza Unida national convention is underway in El Paso. Various shots of attendees gathered at the event and of speakers on stage (Silent). Additional footage from the convention. A report goes on to describe how the convention held a marathon floor session to accept over 30 priorities as a basis for their national platform. Mario Compean, Texas state chairman for La Raza Unida, is seen casting their votes on these platforms; in an interview, Compean says that the convention’s position to not choose a presidential candidate to endorse has more to do with the candidates’ respective parties than it does with the candidates themselves.
