The Summer Solstice coincided with the Rebel Town Festival in Jarrow. All they really shared was the date ... although there WAS a ceremony at a standing stone.
This year is the bicentenary of the founding of The Colliers Of The United Association Of Durham & Northumberland, an early trade union, and a banner was made to commemorate the anniversary - you'll be able to spot it.
Wind and a rather small PA system caused quite a few problems with the sound, but there you go.
