In this episode of the Joyfully Made Podcast, we’re talking about growth, purpose, and the condition of our hearts. Are we truly ready to receive what God is planting in us, or are we stuck circling the same mountain again and again?

Drawing from Luke 8, we explore the parable of the farmer sowing seed—diving into the four types of heart soil: the footpath, the rocky ground, the thorns, and the good soil. Each one shows us something about how we receive God’s truth and whether we’re letting it take root.

We reflect on how spiritual wounds and old beliefs may block growth, how the enemy steals the seed before it takes hold, and what it looks like to patiently cultivate good soil in your life. I also share a few thoughts on Philippians 4 and how it helps us build a rooted, powerful morning devotion time.
Fall is near, and it’s a good time to reflect, pause, and prepare. This is a gentle but honest call to check the condition of your heart and choose growth—even if it’s uncomfortable.
