Disembarkation is a crucial aspect of any cruise, and I have to say, P&O Azura excelled in this regard. From the clear information provided to the smooth logistics, everything was designed to ensure a stress-free and efficient departure. I appreciated being able to place my luggage outside the stateroom before midnight the night before disembarkation, as well as the option to store hand luggage until my airport transfer. After vacating the cabin at 8:00 AM, I was free to leave and reboard as needed until the final disembarkation, which added a nice touch of flexibility.
The only thing missing was the human element. The crew seemed to disappear entirely, and the "see you next time" was only offered with a sweet Spanish accent by the port security. It was a minor detail, but a little more warmth or acknowledgment from the crew would have made the disembarkation feel even more complete. Nonetheless, P&O Azura nailed the logistics and made disembarkation hassle-free.
