Did Pakistan do justice to its first Nobel laureate, Dr. Abdus Salam, who won the Nobel Prize in Physics? Why did he leave the country? What did the founding members envision Pakistan to be? Why does each side of the ideological spectrum claim that the idea of Pakistan aligns with their agenda? The debate that began on the floors of parliament with the Objectives Resolution continues to this day in the academic and political circles of Pakistan: Should the Constitution of Pakistan be based on secular democracy, or should it establish Pakistan as an Islamic state grounded in Shariah?

In this episode of the OTS Educational Podcast Series, we invite public speaker and activist Qaiser Ahmed Raja to explore these questions and help us understand how this dichotomy defines our social, political, and economic systems. He also critiques what he calls the "so-called scholars" of modern sciences for undermining critical issues in education and their potential solutions while focusing instead on demoralizing certain sections of society.
