Ben Shapiro is CONFUSED about atheism and free will - Magic Skeptic Clips

Do we need God for free will? That's what political commentator Ben Shapiro believes. He says so himself in this clip. But is he right? Do we need God to have free will or to put it another way; is God necessary to have free will? Theists like Shapiro tend to believe this because they assume two things. The first is that free will requires an immaterial metaphysics. And the second is that atheism cannot provide such a metaphysics. Ergo, we need God for free will. But it turns out that Ben Shapiro is confused about atheism and free will. Or as some viewers may point out, Ben Shapiro is confused more generally. It turns out atheism can easily accommodate the immaterial. It even turns out that materialism can accommodate free will. So either Ben Shapiro is very confused, or he's very ill-informed. Whatever the case may be, listening to Ben Shapiro on atheism or Ben Shapiro on free will is not recommended. Suffice to say, and despite his reputation as a formidable debater, it's not that difficult to have Ben Shapiro debunked.
