Experiencing the emotion of fear is not a sin, but partnering with it is. ‘Do not fear’ is the most repeated command in the Bible, because what we fear determines what we worship. The enemy knows if he can get us to fear, he can dislocate us from the love of God and the hope we find in Him. But God’s perfect love casts out fear, and we were born to win every battle we face because of what Jesus accomplished at the Cross. When we say no to fear and embrace the love of God, we will be filled with a courage that is contagious.
