USS Constitution represents the early US Navy in the modern era where she is still commissioned and afloat and operating under a crew of active US Navy sailors.
Here. her crew recites The Sailor's Creed, a pledge by which the Navy succinctly reminds its personnel of the traditions and responsibilities they are to uphold. Its principles are very much a part of USS Constitution and many other vessels and stations our navy operates around the world.
