This video describes how to use Artemis software to do shell fitting of EXAFS data. There are three practice samples that are fit in this video. It was produced by Matt Siebecker, a post doctoral scholar in Soil Chemistry. View in 720p for best resolution. Click SHOW MORE for more details.
The video is a voice over while using Artemis to analyze EXAFS data. Topics covered include: locating appropriate structural models, how to generate clusters using ATOMS, how to dope atoms into your cluster (modifying FEFF input file), selecting relevant scattering paths, constraining the fit, performing the Hamilton test to determine improvements between fits with different numbers of variables.
Specifically, this presentation was designed to give present and future Soil Chemistry group members the basic knowledge needed to learn how to do shell fitting.
