York Bowen - Fantasia for Organ, Op. 136 [1951]

York Bowen (1884-1961) was an English composer and pianist known for his virtuosic compositions for piano and other instruments. He began his musical studies at a young age and was a child prodigy on the piano.. Bowen studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and went on to have a successful career as a concert pianist, performing throughout Europe and North America. He also composed prolifically, writing music in a variety of genres, including solo piano works, chamber music, orchestral music, and vocal music. Bowen is considered one of the most significant British composers of the first half of the 20th century.
