This 1979 Harley-Davidson Ironhead was wrecked in a crash, briefly revived, and then parked for 22 years. I dragged it into my garage and tried to bring it back to life without spending a dime—just using what I had on hand. I cleaned the carb, checked for spark, swapped old plugs, and eventually got it to fire on both cylinders. But it didn’t go smoothly. It quit three times on the road and made a hell of a noise in the front end. I barely got it home. This is what revival really looks like.
