One of the most Frequently Asked Questions I get at my consultations is where I place the incisions, how will they heal, and if there will be visible scarring. These questions are even more critical when I have patients who have short hair where everything is visible, and they don’t have hair to cover up the sides while they are still healing.

The average downtime for a Deep Plane Facelift surgery is 2 to 3 weeks, and it can take about 3 to 6 months to get to the final result. This is why you should plan far in advance of any important event. Fat transfer adds additional swelling on top of the Facelift as I have to put more than twice the volume loss I am addressing because I anticipate only about 50% or less to take. Add all of this up and you may have a longer healing time which makes it even more important for you to be patient with your body and the process.
