What a great song this is! As with many others, I didn't notice its bass line until I started playing bass, but once I did it was unescapable. It couldn't be, very appropriately, smoother. Forgive me, guitarists, but I think it's what makes the song. Of course Santana's unmistakable guitar is there, present, replying everything Rob Thomas is singing to it, but, like the meme says, what makes you want to stand up and shake that money-maker. It's like melted chocolate solidifying instantly on top of a creamy vanilla ice cream in the middle of summer.
