Noah and the Flood
The bible contains the record of a global flood in Noah’s day. Every ancient culture has records of this great flood. Archologists have discovered vast fossil graveyards on every continent, with also oceanic fossils on mountain tops. As for Noah, Hebrews reveals that he was warned by God of this coming flood. Believing God’s message, moved with fear, he accepted the way of salvation that God had planned and came with his household into the ark, Here they found shelter, satisfaction and security. God shut him in. While the world was condemned by unbelief, Noah’s faith meant that he was accepted by God, with righteousness imputed to him. God’s ark for us is the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the perfect shelter from the judgment we also deserved. Has our fear of being eternally lost, combined with our faith in Him, brought us also to Christ to receive deliverance from wrath and a righteousness not our own?
