1 Year of Japanese Straight Perm Grew My Hair

Today I'm sharing information about my updated experience with Japanese Hair Straightening. It’s been over a year since I started this journey (September 2021) but I have honestly enjoyed the ease of styling and length retention. I had intended to touch up my hair every 12 ish weeks, but I always end up stretching to around 15 or more. My hair grows rapidly, but there are so many factors going into these delays. I hope to touch up again in February.

(NOTE: Japanese Hair Straightening, Korean Magic Straight Perm, thermal reconditioning, and thio relaxer are terms that are used interchangeably for ammonium thioglycolate-based hair processing systems. They do the same thing, they just have different names)
