We recently went antiquing in the Ozarks and came home with a big haul of milk glass decor! I've been collecting milk glass for years but had parted with most of it before we moved, selling it in my antique booth.
Milk glass, originally called opal glass, was created in the 16th century as an affordable alternative to porcelain. Popularity waned after the Great Depression until the Fenton Art Glass Company introduced the "Hobnail" pattern.
