"Song of Marcapada" – Proposed Anthem of the International Diplomatic Organisation

The International Diplomatic Organisation, also known as IDO, was a global intergovernmental organisation in Marcapada established by the IDO Treaty in 2000 albeit a loose institution at the time headed by a group of Mediators. Between 2047 and 2050, IDO finally adopted its Charter and elected its first Secretary-General, Aapo Sormunen from the Republic of Patana.

While productive in its early years with the creation of numerous agencies such as IOSEC, HACIDO, and MARCO as well as the conception of the Halassa Conventions, its later years were marked by polarisation between the veto-wielding great powers and the smaller member states. This led to the formation of the Century Group, a group of countries that withdrew from the organisation. Between 2063 and 2067, IDO's membership dwindled and was effectively dissolved. Several attempts were made to establish a successor to IDO but were unsuccessful.

For this anthem, the lyrics were written in Latin (Latin is Zalivian in the game, the official language of the Zalivian Empire/Republic and one of the "de facto" working languages of IDO).
