Psalm 121 is often called “The Traveler’s Psalm” or “A Song of Ascents.”
Here’s what it’s about:
Looking to Yahuah for help - The psalm opens with, “I lift up my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahuah, Maker of heaven and earth.” It reminds us that our true help and protection don’t come from human strength, but from Yahuah Himself.
Yahuah as Protector - It promises that Yahuah never sleeps or takes a break. He constantly watches over His people, like a guard who never leaves His post.
Day and night protection - It says the sun won’t strike you by day, nor the moon by night, meaning Yahuah covers His people in every circumstance, whether dangers are obvious or hidden.
Preservation from harm - The psalm ends by assuring that Yahuah will keep you from evil and guard your life. He will watch your coming and going, now and forever.
Psalm 121 is about trusting in Yahuah’s continual protection, care, and guidance no matter where life takes us.
This song is a personal rendition I created for my Mom, as a reminder that He is always watching over us, protecting us, and keeping us in His care. I love you Mom!
May these words bring encouragement, peace, and hope to anyone who listens.
