Farmland Raptors, like Barn Owls, and American Kestrels are experiencing a steep decline in their population here in the Mid-Atlantic Region. For this reason, Shaver's Creek Environmental Center started the Shaver's Creek Farmland Raptor Project. Helping both species by working with farmers, and setting up and maintaining nest boxes, banding the chicks, and documenting fledging success. Through this program they've seen amazing fledging and breeding success over the past few years due to their efforts. Feel free to share the video and help get the word out about this amazing program!
