Last year, during a pretty anxious stretch of my life, I stumbled across Cast n Chill. It’s a gentle fishing game built around a simple loop — cast, catch, sell, repeat — with light upgrades, new areas to explore, and a companion dog who just… sits with you.
I played it on Nintendo Switch 2, and what stuck with me wasn’t progression or mechanics, but the rhythm. The stillness. The way it quietly helped my brain slow down.
