How to Safely Remove Acrylic Nails

Bonjour,

Today I’m going to show you how to remove Acrylic Nails.

To start, I’m going to cut just underneath the free edge to remove the length of the nails. I’m going to use old cuticle nippers to remove the crystals and then remove the length. I’m then going to use an 80 grit file to remove the Top Coat and scratch the surface, it will also help to file most of the acrylic to the finger isn’t soaking in acetone for too long.

I’m then going to soak a lint free pad in pure acetone and wrap with foil to keep the heat in. Leave it for 10 minutes or so and then remove the foil and scrape away the acrylic. I’ll use a 240 grit file to remove any left over acrylic and then apply plenty of cuticle oil to the nail and fingers to rehydrate.

You can also apply a new set now if you want to.
