Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara pleaded with the public during a press conference on Jan. 24, to remain calm, after a video went viral showing a federal agent shooting and killing an armed protestor in the city's downtown.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, a federal agent shot and killed a man who was brandishing a gun while officers in Minneapolis were attempting to arrest an illegal criminal migrant Saturday morning.
The incident, which was captured on video, drew an immediate crowd of rowdy protesters, prompting law enforcement to fire multiple rounds of tear gas in an effort to disperse them.
