This video covers from 1990 to 1993. When the 90s began, hip hop started to change in different ways. A few rappers started to have extreme success and wanted to reach POP levels. Some rappers felt those rappers were betraying hip hop by catering to a POP audience. At the same time hard core rap was slowly taking over causing some to change styles while others in the middle attacked POP and hard core rap. The best of the 90s of hip hop.
