Did Sony just quietly FIX their colour science??

So recently I saw a short from @SidneyDiongzon and realized that Sony had introduced a new colour space that could be used with Slog3 and supposedly gives you better colour science for skin tones, so naturally I wanted to check it out. This is just a quick look at the new 709tone colour space.
In this video, I test out Sony’s new color-focused codec quietly added in a recent firmware update for the Sony FX3. I compare it directly against S-Log3.Cine, my go-to profile, to see which delivers better skin tones, color rendering, and overall image quality.

Is it finally time to ditch S-Log3 for better, more Canon-like color? Let’s find out.

I’ll show side-by-side comparisons, ungraded and graded footage, and break down how both profiles perform in post-production using DaVinci Resolve.
