Very OLD PRISMACOLORS Challenge - Berol and Eagle Prismacolors: My experience

You're probably wondering why I would have anything to do with Prismacolors considering my video on why I don't use them anymore. Well, there's a loophole: I don't typically use modern made Prismacolors. I was lucky to get my hands on a lot of vintage Prismacolors though, ones from when the company was owned by Eagle (Pre-1969) and Berol (Pre-1995).

But guess what? These vintage Prismacolors are put to the test, and you'll see the outcome. You'll see a comparison of the wood, hear a brief history of the company, and a demo where I create an illustration of Agent Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson; X-Files)with them.

I thought it would be interesting to put them to the test and report back to you. For those of you interested, here are the colors I used for Scully's portrait:

Skin/Features
(Sand, Deco Peach, Light Flesh/Flesh, Pink, Vermillion Red, Cream, White, Raw Umber, Burnt Ochre, Tuscan Red, Dark Brown, Terra Cotta)

Hair
(Tuscan Red, Vermillion Red, Yellow Ochre, Scarlet Lake, Burnt Ochre, Terra Cotta, Dark Brown, Burnt Umber, Raw Umber, Black).
