The awesome Seattle festival celebrating Black music beyond traditional genres

The Black and Loud Festival, happening this Saturday at Seattle's “The Crocodile,” celebrates the diverse spectrum of Black music beyond traditional genres.

Featuring regional and national acts like Breaks and Swells, Nikki D and the Sisters of Thunder, and co-headliners King Youngblood and Ayron Jones, the festival also includes live art from Black painters and a VIP whiskey-tasting event.

Band members Cameron Lavi-Jones and Chet Peterson of King Youngblood stopped by ARC Seattle for an exclusive performance of their unreleased track from an album that is said to be released in February.

This year, the festival is expanding nationally, spreading Black joy and supporting emerging artists.
