We ventured out to Furnas in the Municipality of Povoação on the southeast side of the island São Miguel, Azores with the pastor, his wife and friends to have a nice cup of warm coffee as the weather was rainy and cold and also to take in the beauty of that town with its lakes. Furnas is a massive volcanic crater, making for a unique experience when visiting that town and island. My husband and I also toured the town of Ajuda da Bretanha which is a small parish but charming with breathtaking views of the northern coast of the island. On the way there, we stopped in Candelária, another amazing town, with amazing views of the ocean. We ended the day at my sister's house in Remédios da Bretanha for a wonderful dinner with the family.


Aventurámo-nos até às Furnas, no Concelho da Povoação, no lado sudeste da ilha de São Miguel, Açores, com o Pastor, a sua Esposa e amigos para tomar uma boa chávena de café quente, pois o tempo estava chuvoso e frio e também para apreciar a beleza daquela Freguesia com os seus lagos. As Furnas é uma enorme cratera vulcânica, proporcionando uma experiência única ao visitar aquela Freguesia e ilha. Meu marido e eu também visitamos a Freguesia da Ajuda da Bretanha, que é uma pequena Freguesia, mas encantadora com vistas deslumbrantes sobre a costa norte da ilha. No caminho, paramos em Candelária, outra Freguesia incrível, com vistas deslumbrantes do oceano. Terminamos o dia na casa da minha irmã em Remédios da Bretanha para um jantar maravilhoso em família.
