Aquascaping Tutorial SERENITY - Iwagumi Hardscape Setup

Aquascaping Tutorial! This is part one of this 3 part series. First up we have Hardscape and Substrate. Next up will be planting. Followed by adding invertebrates or fish.

In this episode we are focusing on the Hardscape and Substrate set up. We are using ADA Aquasoil Amazonia 2 for substrate. We will be using some small lava rock to give some height to our substrate and hardscape as well. For our hardscape we are using Elephant Skin Stone ONLY. This was meant to be an Iwagumi type scape but it slowly converted to more of a Brazilian style aquascape. We go over hardscape placement, bracing the tank for heavy rocks, giving height and depth to your aquascape. In this aquascape we are going with a valley type feel. The elephant skin stone really allowed this aquascape to flourish and develop very well! We all know ADA Aquasoil Amazonia is self explanatory as its one of the most popular and best producing aquasoils on the market at this time.

Aquascaping is much easier than many people think. It just takes patience. Take your time with each individual aspect and you will be amazed with what you come up with. Be creative! Add depth to your scape. You ideally want to make it look like the tank keeps on going and going.
