How To Carve A Black Bear Climbing

This week in Episode 2 Jeff May shares his Pacific Northwest Life by taking viewers through the process of carving / sculpting a little black bear climber from his Northern Idaho based studio. He also share some Chainsaw Care tips and best practices . The sculpture is made from a sustainably harvested western red cedar tree. Jeff goes from whole log to art and transforms it into a beautiful black bear. In this video Jeff uses a variety of tools; Echo 2511p chainsaw, Stihl chainsaw, Dremal 4000, and a host of Makita power tools. Life in Northern Idaho is perfectly suited to those who love art and nature, so Jeff feels right at home here creating works of art from his home based studio in the woods. Jeff has a passion for sharing art and the benefits such as art for depression and anxiety. We need to model how art can be good medicine in times where we are inundated by technology and a fast paced world .
