This Sunday we begin a brand new Church year with the First Sunday of Advent. In the Gospel, Jesus tells us, “Stay awake… you must be ready,” inviting us not just to count down to Christmas, but to wake up our hearts and get ready to welcome Him.
Fr Alister speaks especially to children and families about what it means to “stay awake on the inside” during Advent – noticing Jesus in the people around us, in the quiet of prayer, and in small acts of love each day. There’s also a simple “hearts awake” challenge that kids can live out at home and at school.
