McGrady, who finished 7-of-24 from the field in his team's 108-93 Game 7 loss, averaged 33.5 points per game over the first six games of the series, scoring 43 and 46 points in Games 1 & 2, respectively.
McGrady's theatrics pushed the Magic to a 3-1 series lead, which would have been enough to clinch a second round berth in any season prior to 2003.
