In this tutorial, we’ll learn how to model architectural geometry in Grasshopper step by step. You’ll create a simple architectural form—a house-like structure—using construction points, polylines, extrusions, grids, and structural elements. This video is part of Modeling in Grasshopper for Complete Beginners, ideal for architects and designers starting in parametric design.

We’ll start by defining base points with Construct Point, build a closed Polyline, and extrude it into a 3D volume. Then we’ll generate a grid structure with Center Box, Box Array, and Wireframe components, clean duplicate lines with Remove Duplicate Lines, and trim the grid using Trim with BRep.
Finally, we’ll add Pipes for the structure, close the geometry with Cap Holes, and bake it into Rhino to perform a Boolean Union—preparing the model for 3D printing. By the end, you’ll have a complete architectural model built entirely from parametric logic.
