I Found Heaven… and It’s FULL of Trout! (Alaska Fly Fishing)

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve dreamed of fishing in Alaska, and today, that dream finally came true. We flew from Boise to Anchorage, woke up before sunrise, and set out to find a stream I’ve been anticipating all year. The timing couldn’t have been better; sockeye salmon were charging upstream, and thousands of dolly varden were stacked right behind them.

Every cast was chaos. We caught fish after fish, surrounded by incredible scenery, crystal-clear glacial water, and the raw beauty of Alaska’s backcountry. From sight-fishing to aggressive eats, this was DIY fly fishing at its finest.

If you love wild places, big fish, and adventure, this series is for you; this is only Day 1 in Alaska!
