It's the 21st annual Nordlysfestival in Tromsö this weekend. Dancing and art-music come from near and far. This year's festival ends with Tromsö descent Anneli Drecker.
Anneli:
-I was sweating for half a year thinking about what music I should make. In the end I figured out I'd just do the music I am. I don't want to go out and try something I'm not. 'Nordlys' have asked me to play, and everyone knows who I am, AD is popmusic.
SV:
What the audience will hear in Tromsö is both new material and things that AD never has used in this way before.
AD:
-It's songs not suiting for an album, being, how to say it, not commercial enough, lots of those things, and who's taken better preparations, not ready to release on an album. I've had a brainstorm with my musicians and we've got a very good form on those songs.
SV:
AD is happy to have a concert in her hometown.
AD:
-I've had so much surplus material lying around, gathered through the years, and I also had a need to make new music, and to dust off old things.
