"The Long Brandywine" – A Brandywine Festival Farewell Song (Hobbit Folk Song)

All throughout the inaugural Brandywine Festival this year, a song started to find its way out of our thatched-top burrow yurt and through the crowd of festival goers....

"The Long Brandywine" is a based on an old nautical folk song "The Grey Funnel Line" written in 1953 by Cyril Tawney a Royal Navy submariner and folk singer. This is a lyric adaptation of that song for the Brandywine Festival and the folk who travel to itit, by Gabogras Hawgable and Penny Landgable

This recording is shared so friends old and new can learn the melody, sing the chorus, and carry it with them until we meet again next year. Performed in character by Gabo and Penny, and recorded with our own footage from the Brandywine Festival.
