BLEAKNESS - Hold On

At the end of 2019, just before the world stopped for two years, BLEAKNESS released their debut album "Functionally Extinct". Unable to remain inactive and driven by positive feedbacks, the french trio used the time freed up by two canceled European tours in 2020 to start writing and recording a new album entitled "Life At A Standstill " to be released in June 17.

In the same spirit as previous recordings, Bleakness draws on its influences from the 80s, UK post-punk, Californian death rock (...) and mixes them with its hardcore punk roots. The result is dark and energetic, committed and melancholic. Bleakness takes the atmosphere of early gothic and injects a heavy dose of hardcore punk rage.

Decided to make up for lost time, Bleakness has lots of gigs to come in 2022. It has started early may in Germany and Poland with Paris based Anarcho-punk band BARREN?. Some images from this tour were used for the making of a video for "Hold On", opening track of "Life At A Standstill". Live footages by Jean-Phi from BARREN ?, other images filmed by the band and edited during long drives in the van.

Lots of shows and tour in the next months, including support of BURNING HEADS at La Boule Noire in Paris on June 1st ; concerts in Spain with LITIGE and a tour in October with FOTOCRIME.
