Yet another 'blast from the past' discovery. I wonder how many of you remember or even know about this 1984 Alan Williams single release 'Gimmi Some Lovin' on Gerard Lenormans' Record label Carrere Records. A totally different arrangement to the original by Spencer Davis ( check out some fabulous bass lines laid down by my old mate Steve Stroud ) and nothing at all like the way we play it now live on stage. No Oscars for this one, they don't tend to give them for 'Overacting' or should I say in this particular case 'Underacting' if there is such a thing and before you ask 'No I don't know who she is'.
