Walking Through Amsterdam on King’s Day 2025 | Celebrating the Netherlands’ Biggest Holiday

King’s Day is one of the most famous holidays in the Netherlands, and Amsterdam becomes one of the liveliest places in Europe to experience it. The entire country celebrates the Dutch King’s birthday with street parties, music, open-air markets, boat parades on the canals, and crowds dressed in bright orange. Amsterdam turns into a citywide festival where locals and travelers mix, wander, and enjoy the atmosphere together.

In this video, I walk through different parts of Amsterdam on King’s Day, taking in the energy, the music, the crowds, and the unforgettable orange-filled streets. There is no fixed route, just a real look at what it feels like to be in the middle of the celebration.
