30Jesus provided far more God-revealing signs than are written down in this book. 31These are written down so you will believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and in the act of believing, have real and eternal life in the way he personally revealed it.

Why This Gospel Was Written
30Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31but there have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.
