The 67 Mercury Cougar gets a new trunk seal. I install a reproduction rear deck / trunk lid weatherstrip seal for the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. A cheap piece that will keep water out and keep the trunk from rusting.
Replaces Ford part #: C5ZZ-6543720.
I used 3M Black Super Weatherstrip and Gasket Adhesive to install it. It is designed specifically to bond rubber gaskets and weatherstripping to metal surfaces. This flexible, high-strength adhesive helps ensure a tight waterproof seal. It cures fast and works right out of the tube, holding rubber weatherstripping in place and resisting heat, vibration, oils and detergents.
