We look at labour-intensive processes and design smarter systems to solve the tasks. A great example is the automated sterile storage exchange which we designed and built for Gentofte Hospital. The challenge, as defined by the customer, was to build a storage facility for sterilised surgical equipment where no hands would touch the equipment trays from the moment they enter the autoclaves and until they are unpacked and prepared by the surgical nurses in the operations theatre, while preserving the total flexibility of a fully manual storage exchange.
