Best Trout Lures for Trolling

#Trolling for #rainbowtrout is fairly basic and a wide variety of lures can be used from spoons to crankbaits. Speed is going to vary but usually trolling between 1.5 miles per hour to 3MPH is going to catch some fish. These trout are fast and have no problem getting up to 3mph to strike these lures.

When I am trolling for trout whether I am in the Eastern Sierra or a lake in Southern California, I like to match the hatch as closely as possible and it greatly increases my catch percentage. I personally rarely use downriggers or leadcore except in the dead of summer and the water is just too warm for the fish. I usually just pick a deeper diving crankbait or let out more line on my spoons to get a little deeper.
