“Good morning.”
This is the day that the Lord has made, and He calls it GOOD.
He created it, and what He has created is GOOD.
But somewhere along the way society shortened it, culture cut it and we just say: “Morning.”
I felt the Spirit say… “When you remove the ‘good,’ you remove the blessing.”
In Genesis One, God is creating the world, and the Bible says, “God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.
And God saw that the light was GOOD.”
When you and I open our mouths in the morning and declare: “Good morning,” we are not just greeting someone…we are agreeing with God’s original blessing.
When we drop the word “good” when we say just “morning” it’s like receiving a gift but not unwrapping it. You’re accepting the day, but removing the blessing.
In Luke 14, Jesus tells a story and like removing the word “good,” the invited guests removed the favor attached to the banquet.
A blessing isn’t less of a blessing just because it’s refused.
God’s goodness will always find someone who wants it.
Is that someone you? What’s on the other side of your yes?
