Here on the Deepdene model railway we see a newly fitted digital sound Bachmann EWS Class 66 hauling a Hornby intermodal container train. This model uses a Lok Sound V5 DCC decoder with Jamie Goodman Class 66 Sound, and the sounds do not disappoint! To achieve a ride range of sound tones both a small base enhanced speaker and small smart phone (iPhone) speaker have been paired together, allowing to produce the low rumble of the 3000hp engine and the higher tones from air valves, wheel squeal, horns, etc.
