Welcome back to We Play Games! This video is the sixth in a playlist designed primarily to help you get the tools you need to succeed in Multiplayer, though obviously the things that are successful in Multiplayer are similarly good in Singleplayer (though the current state of the AI means you can kinda do whatever you want to in Singleplayer and feel OP).

So, let's talk about game balance. At the moment there are some things that people think are balance issues in Singleplayer, but largely those are as a result of the tactical and strategic level AI having some real rough edges. If you are playing against a human player who knows what they are doing, you'll find that strategies that rely on your opponent mostly doing nothing in combat kinda fall apart, and that's where the Tier 2 Tomes step in and hit the game with the steel chair of wildly OP nonsense. Ultimately there are things you can do in your playgroup to reduce the effectiveness of the best tomes (or just outright ban them), and perhaps changes will be coming to them in the upcoming Ashes patch (let's hope!), but if you haven't heard, Amplification is insane and Revelry is insane and all the other tier 2 tomes are jealous.
